Formed by an extinct volcanic crater, Molokini offers exquisite diving. Its cove side gently slopes out about 100 feet before dropping off and its south side has a steep face that drops off to over 200 feet, giving advanced divers an excellent drift dive. Pelagic species, such as whale sharks and manta rays, are among the most commonly seen aquatic. It is not only aquatic enthusiasts that visit it but also filmmakers and photographers who are captivated by its charm.

Some slip through the hull, which makes it really fun for a hide and seek game underwater.
To the south of Wailea is Makena that it is part of a large bay where the bottom is sandy gradual slope. It has plenty of archways, caves and pinnacles where tiger sharks take it as their abode when the sun sets. Marine life like frogfish, eels and lionfish are also rich within the vicinity.
