Do not ever underestimate a particular area because of its small size. Often, once its natural treasures are unveiled, you will be left breathless. This is true of this Asian region that is a territory of Thailand. You will be more able to appreciate its beauty when you have done scuba diving in Koh Tao. Before going into the depths, surrounded by lush palm trees the beach, the tranquility of its beaches is more sharply defined.

With powdery white sands that stretch approximately 1.7 kilometers, Sairee Beach has one of the best scuba diving Koh Tao sites. Located in the western coast, it is only interrupted by boulders that have been artistically

formed due to the strong brushings of the waves. Considered as the most popular spot for any type of aquatic activities, it is now filled with commercial stores such as restaurants, nurseries and boutiques, among the others.

From Sairee Beach, tourists have a panoramic vista of the island called Koh Nang Yuan. It has clusters of huge stones known as Suan Hin Jor Por Ror which feature the inscription made by King Rama V when he paid a visit on 1899. There is also the Fishery Museum that gives a detailed description of the marine life endemic to the region. When you go scuba diving Koh Tao, you will meet those creatures that have been a favorite of any that have frequented their open seas.

Mae Haad is another town perfect for scuba diving Koh Tao plans. It has a port where almost all the vessels arrive and depart from there. Even though it has become highly developed to appeal to the tourism trade, some of its fishing village charm has been retained. Many businesses, such as money exchanges, government department, post office and health center, have made it their headquarters. At the southern end, there is a mushrooming of resorts that provide a complete set of gear and equipment for divers.

The third largest beach, Chalok Baan Kao, is now exceedingly urbanized. There are a lot of bistros, accommodations and bars that have been developed to attract more foreign guests. With its gently sloping sandy bottom, the bay is a great family destination as it is sheltered from wind for most of the year. The beach is a 400-meter crescent. “The Last Paradise”, a helicopter pad, offers a stunning panoramic view of the beaches and bay. Renting a helicopter will give you an incredible view of this vista.. A lot of tourists also flock at Taa Toh Lagoon in the east and Saan Jao Beach in the west to have parties. Thian Og Bay and Sai Daeng Beach are connected with each other so they are easily accessible. Hin Wong Bay, on the other hand, is rich in coral reefs that are still intact. Quite simply, there are a lot of spots to be enjoyed in Koh Tao.
